Baptist Health System, Inc. is hiring an Inpatient Hospital Coder for a remote role in the Appeals & Denials Department. The role requires expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding, with RHIT or RHIA or CCS credentials and 3–5 years of coding experience.

Knowledge of EHR systems, encoder software, and strong communication skills is essential. Candidate must work remotely from approved states in the U.S. and meet audit goals daily.

Qualifications

• Identifying and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to inpatient accounts per state and federal requirements.
• Understanding CPT-4 coding for Observation accounts when applicable.
• Verifying and submitting abstracted information to billing systems for claim submission.

Responsabilités

• Mentor and audit coding staff; provide training as needed.
• Collaborate with CDI, HIM and management on coding documentation and denial prevention.
• Maintain accuracy and meet Coding A/R goals with minimal supervision.
