Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Account Manager to join our Industrial Sales team as a remote/field employee in the Western Michigan/Northeast Indiana territory.

You will grow a defined distribution customer base and demonstrate the value of our brands across the product portfolio. You will identify opportunities, run product trials, provide cost-saving analyses, and support customers with sales service, inventory control, and promotions while managing territory reports and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/associate degree or 5+ years of equivalent trade experience in a shop environment.
• 2+ years of direct sales experience in industrial sales preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines.
• CRM experience with Salesforce.com or similar preferred.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to develop and present customer programs to sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow, and develop a sales territory within the assigned region.
• Demonstrate value of the product portfolio and provide cost-savings analysis.
• Support customers with sales analysis, inventory control, and promotions.
• Handle administrative tasks, reporting, travel paperwork and forecasts.
• Keep distributors informed and focus sales personnel on technical services.
• Create and present value-based communications with distribution and end users.
• Travel approximately 35% overnight within the territory.
