Maximus is seeking a FULL TIME Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client. This is a remote position, and candidates must possess an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).

The role emphasizes leading and performing COBOL development with DB2 and CICS, validating requirements, documenting solutions, and mentoring teammates while ensuring code quality and timely delivery.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• 5+ years of IBM COBOL programming experience.
• Experience with DB2 and IBM DB2 utilities.
• Experience with CICS; strong communication and client-facing skills.

• Lead the development of COBOL-based solutions to meet business requirements.
• Design, code, test, and troubleshoot COBOL modules; perform code reviews.
