Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer for the IRS program. This is a fully remote role requiring an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).

The candidate will lead COBOL development, design modules, perform unit testing, and assist in troubleshooting while coordinating with teams to meet business objectives. The role emphasizes updating FSP/PRP documentation, handling UWR/IRM references, and ensuring code quality through reviews and tests.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required.
• At least 4 years of experience with IBM COBOL programming language.
• Experience with DB2, IBM DB2 utilities, CICS, SQL, JCL, and batch processing.
• Strong verbal and written communication and client support skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development of software solutions meeting business requirements.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools for possible adoption.
• Consult on requirements elicitation and definition.
• Design, code, review, test, and integrate IBM COBOL modules.
• Maintain documentation and unit tests; support production troubleshooting.
• Mentor other developers and contribute to coding standards.
