Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support the Internal Revenue Service client. This is a full-time remote role requiring an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) and strong IBM COBOL experience within a DB2/CICS environment.

You will lead the development of software solutions, design modules, perform unit testing, review code, and mentor other developers while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent combination.
• At least four (4) years of IBM COBOL programming experience.
• Active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI).
• Experience with DB2 and IBM DB2 utilities, CICS, SQL, JCL, and batch processing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development of software solutions meeting business requirements; design and implement modules; conduct unit testing; troubleshoot issues.
• Evaluate new coding techniques and tools; update documentation and diagrams as needed.
• Code reviews, unit testing, and integration of modules; provide guidance to other developers.
• Support testing, remediate defects, and assist users via troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Prepare workflow charts/diagrams and translate into coded instructions; collaborate with testers.
