Job summary

Rural Health Enterprise LLP is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a full-time hybrid/remote role based in Washington State. The position supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions to ensure accurate records, timely payments, and adherence to internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounting experience, proficiency with QuickBooks Online or Sage 50, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Sage 50.
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, reconciliations, data organization).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to ensure accurate records and timely payments.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, online bill pay).
• Maintain vendor records and payment terms; request W-9 forms as needed.
• Monitor invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries; track due dates.
• Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end reporting.
• Generate and email customer invoices; match and post customer payments.
