AHC (Affordable Homes & Communities) is seeking an Accounting Assistant to manage accounts payable, support general accounting, and assist in ledger reconciliations. You will help prepare payments, maintain vendor records, and support treasury activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a general accounting support role.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and basic general ledger accounting principles.
• Familiarity with accounting software (MIP, Avid, Concur, or similar) and Microsoft Office/Excel.
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage invoices with accurate coding and timely payments.
• Reconcile AP transactions and maintain detailed records.
• Assist in month-end close and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare basic journal entries for recurring expenses and intercompany transactions.
• Support audits, tax reporting, and documentation retention.
