Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a remote Pre-sales Engineer to support the South Atlantic GCoE team across North America. You will lead pre-sales design, cost estimation, and value engineering for Metasys BAS projects, coordinating with sales, operations and external vendors.

The role requires strong analytical skills and proven experience in HVAC/BAS contexts. The position offers a competitive salary range and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years plus controls sales/operations experience with HVAC systems and project cost development of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Demonstrated computer and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales engineering, design and estimation during project design or proposal phase.
• Perform value engineering and cost optimization activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors and vendors and QA/QC work from other team members.
• Coordinate pre-bid and pre-book estimate reviews and manage project cost data through booking.
• Provide system application support and product selection within BAS solutions.
