Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV Training and Technical Support Specialist to assist daily OCC and O&M work processes and develop HV training materials. This role is fully remote; location specifics will be discussed during the interview process.

You will work with the Technical Support Supervisor and other SOLV employees to create training content, support power systems analysis, and provide SME guidance to clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 10+ years of testing and commissioning experience.
• Ability to train and develop others.
• Ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools.
• Effective computer operation skills and ability to operate system testing applications.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a rotational on-call schedule (weekends/after-hours).
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safety standards on site.
• Prepare timely documentation and required reports.
• Develop HV training material in collaboration with supervisors and colleagues.
• Support the OCC with Power Systems Analysis and operational guidance.
• Review and approve HV test reports for testing activities.
• Provide on-call HV support to OCC and field technicians.
• Remote support for EPC startup, commissioning, and O&M testing.
• Provide SME advice to clients and support RCA findings.
• Support NERC misoperations reports and corrective actions.
