Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1. This role is remote with heavy travel to substations, BESS and PV facilities nationwide.

You will perform acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair, ensuring safety and quality across projects. Responsibilities include equipment testing, documentation, and client communication while coordinating with technicians and trainees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather).
• Ability to work on an “on call” basis (may include weekends or after-hours situations).
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Job Safety Analysis (JSA) familiarity.
• Electrical Testing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously and supervise Technicians and Trainees.
