Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This remote role travels frequently to job sites across the country and requires strong safety discipline and documentation.

Responsibilities include completing acceptance testing, creating test reports, and supervising technicians. Candidates should have a high school diploma, travel readiness, and proven English

Responsibilities

• Stresses the importance that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working
• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of company and industry safety standards
• Understand, follow and communicate safety regulations and work procedures
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
• Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work that they performed or supervised
• Handle multiple jobs simultaneously
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates
• Ability to assess other technicians in both safety and technical skill sets
