Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair at substations, BESS and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to varying jobsites in the United States.

Location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. Responsibilities include safety-first testing, accurate documentation, and collaboration with clients and teammates.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years as an electrician testing technician in substations/BESS yards.
• Willingness to travel ~75% of time.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely from varied jobsites and extreme weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with safety standards.
• Prepare and review complete test reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and teammates on site activities.
• Assist and supervise Technicians and Trainees as needed.
• Develop and save test plans and execute tests per NETA standards.
