Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This remote role travels to varied sites nationwide with safety as a top priority.

The role requires 1–3 years as an electrician testing technician, strong English communication, and the ability to work in remote locations under challenging weather conditions. Training and certification support is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• CPR/First Aid and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Test a wide range of electrical equipment per stated procedures and standards.
