Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS, and PV facilities.

This role is remote with heavy travel to diverse job sites across the United States, with details discussed in the interview process. The candidate should have 1–3 years of electrical testing experience, travel readiness, and strong safety, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Must be able to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and ensures compliance with company and industry standards.
• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees; write and review complete test reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates; assess safety and technical skill in others.
