Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to sites nationwide.

You will document results, uphold safety standards, and support a team of technicians and trainees while delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities include preparing test reports, communicating with clients, and applying procedures per NETA-like standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1–3 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time and work at remote locations in varying weather conditions.
• Strong verbal and written English communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and testing standards (NETA-type).

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Prepare timely and accurate test reports and documentation.
• Exercise safe work practices and enforce company safety standards.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors and teammates; supervise trainees as needed.
• Create and save test plans and maintain test data in reporting software.
• Test a wide range of HV/MV equipment per procedures and SOPs.
