Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair in substations, BESS, and PV facilities. This remote role requires heavy travel to varying sites.

Location specifics will be discussed during the interview process. Responsibilities include safety-critical testing, preparing reports, and coordinating with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Identify hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work remotely in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment per company and industry standards.
• Prepare timely documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports for work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously and mentor trainees.
