Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to varying job sites nationwide.

Safety is the top priority and you will document tests and reports with precision. Responsibilities include performing acceptance testing, enabling safe operations, coordinating with clients and teams, and producing complete test reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize hazards and mitigate using proper tools/procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Lead or review testing with technicians and trainees.
