Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair in substations, BESS, and PV facilities. This remote role requires heavy travel to various sites across the U.S. with specifics discussed during interview.

The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork, with responsibilities including test planning, reporting, and collaborating with clients and colleagues to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of electrician testing technician experience in substations or BESS yards.
• Able to travel 75% of the time.
• Able to recognize hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company and industry standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
• Assemble and review complete test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
