Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to varying jobsites; location specifics will be discussed in the interview.

Responsibilities include safety first, documenting results, and producing complete test reports while coordinating with clients and teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards
• Ability to travel 75% of time
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures
• Effective verbal and written English communication
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicle
• CPR/First Aid training
• Job Safety Analysis and Electrical Testing SOPs

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities
• Ensure safe working environment and strict safety compliance
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of work performed or supervised
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and teammates
• Handle multiple jobs simultaneously and travel to various sites
