Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities in substations, BESS and PV facilities.

This remote role requires heavy travel to varying job sites; location specifics will be discussed during interview. Key duties include acceptance testing, safety compliance, documentation, and producing comprehensive test reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
• Able to recognize hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work remotely in variable weather.
• On-call availability including weekends or after-hours.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training, Job Safety Analysis, and Electrical Testing SOP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS, and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment per safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports for work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Travel to multiple sites and manage concurrent jobs.
