Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning and troubleshooting in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to various job sites and reports to field operations.

You will document test results, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with clients and teammates while supporting multiple projects and advancing testing procedures across sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1-3 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of company and industry safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work that you performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
