Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in substations, BESS, and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to different job sites nationwide, with details discussed during the interview.

You will prepare test reports, ensure safety, and coordinate with clients and teammates while testing a wide range of high and medium voltage equipment in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS, and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports for performed work.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
