Job summary

Advocate Health is recruiting a motivated Human Resources Intern to join our People & Culture team for a May 31, 2027–August 6, 2027 internship. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations while gaining mentorship and hands-on exposure to real-world HR practices.

You will help post jobs, screen resumes, schedule interviews, assist with onboarding, maintain records, and contribute to HR reporting and process improvement, all within a supportive, professional

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or related field.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks.
• Strong teamwork and multitasking skills.
• Proficient with Excel.
• Demonstrates integrity, maturity and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with posting job openings and screening resumes
• Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications
• Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires
• Help maintain employee records and HR databases
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events
• Assist with HR reporting and data analysis
• Contribute to HR process improvement and documentation
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team
• Gain practical experience in core HR functions
• Receive mentorship from HR professionals
• Exposure to HR systems and tools
• Networking opportunities within the organization
• Contribute to meaningful HR initiatives
