Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern for May 31, 2027–August 6, 2027. This remote internship is 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with work-from-home eligibility for several states including IA.

The role covers HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations. You must be enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field, with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and teamwork.
• Proficient with Excel and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with posting job openings and screening resumes.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.
• Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
• Help maintain employee records and HR databases.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events.
• Assist with HR reporting and data analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement projects and HR documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
