Tophat HR is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in tailored human resources consulting and management services. We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support our client’s growing team with a focus on recruitment and day-to-day people operations.

You will work closely with leadership to support the full employee lifecycle from attracting talent to onboarding, engagement, and HR administration, ensuring an organized, positive experience as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR generalist, HR operations, recruiting, talent acquisition, or related role.
• Hands-on experience managing recruitment activities: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers.
• Familiar with HR policies, employee lifecycle, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance.
• Experience with HRIS/ATS and payroll/benefits coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment: describe roles, source, screen, interview, and coordinate offers.
• Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure proper HR documentation.
• Handle HR administration: records, time-off, attendance, leaves, and data security.
• Support payroll, benefits enrollment, and related administrative tasks.
• Support employee engagement, policies, and internal communications.
• Ensure US employment compliance and California-specific requirements.
