Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• 1–2 years of HR or customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to use HRIS and other systems daily.
• Ability to work in a team and handle confidential information discreetly.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with applicant tracking or HR systems is a plus.
• Willingness to support various HR tasks as needed.

Aufgaben

• Provide detailed telephonic guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on HR questions such as compensation programs, union contracts, and policies.
• Counsel employees on work-related issues of moderate scope and complexity.
• Maintain answer rate metrics and elevate issues to supervisors as needed.
• Review and process HR requests including leaves and onboarding.
• Coordinate visa/immigration processes with UC International Scholars Office.
• Assist Staff and Academic Generalists with HR tasks and transactions.
• Support new hires, employees, and department managers on payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS to ensure documentation is complete.
