Job summary

Cypress HCM in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior HR Generalist for a contract assignment to provide casework coverage with focus on continuity and quality. You will support complex case types including organizational changes, leave, and accommodations while collaborating with ERC peers and partners to resolve employee requests.

You will triage inquiries, guide internal HR teams, and drive scalable quality improvements using ERP/case management tools.

Qualifications

• Proven HR expertise with specialized knowledge in organizational changes, leave of absence programs, and interactive accommodation processes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities for complex cases; balance compassion and firmness to navigate business challenges.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently with accuracy, meet SLA timelines, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience applying existing tools and workflows effectively and identifying process gaps or improvements.
• Ability to work independently, make confident decisions, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and guidance to all levels on sensitive work-related issues such as organization changes, accommodations, and leave-related policies.
• Triage and respond to questions from internal HR teams; collaborate on cases, assess options, and provide risk assessments.
• Lead intake, triage, and resolution of complex HR inquiries, aligning cross-functional resources to connect impacted individuals to the right support.
• Leverage case management systems to address employee needs, using reporting and insights to identify trends and inform strategies.
• Partner with Legal, Security, Employee Relations, HRBPs, and other collaborators as needed; communicate efficiently at all levels.
• Foster team enablement by providing updates on process and policy changes to equip colleagues.
• Influence and contribute to process improvements that drive business scalability.
• Contribute insights and collaborate on projects that drive organization-wide impact.

Compensation
