Job summary

Curi is seeking an Underwriter for the Hospital Segment to assess and underwrite medical professional liability risks for hospitals and healthcare organizations. This role supports policyholders and applicants, ensuring adherence to underwriting standards and authority levels while delivering accurate risk analysis.

You will collaborate with underwriting leadership, brokers, and internal teams to manage accounts, monitor risk exposure, and contribute to portfolio growth in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years of property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting hospitals or healthcare organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite hospital and healthcare organization risks within authority.
• Assess risk, claims history, and pricing for new and renewal business.
• Prepare quotations using current rating methodologies and systems.
• Collaborate with leadership on high‑risk accounts and coverage decisions.
• Document underwriting decisions and maintain account activity records.
