Job summary

CVS Health, including Meritain Health, is seeking a remote Underwriting professional to support pricing, stop loss strategies, and quotations for a diversified book of business. The role collaborates with Sales, Client Management, and other internal teams to deliver accurate financial deliverables and insights.

The position requires 1–2 years of medical insurance experience, strong communication, and analytical skills, with 3–4 years preferred, and a High School Diploma or GED as a baseline

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of applicable medical insurance experience: brokers, carriers, TPAs, underwriting, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepare and issue quotations and financial deliverables.
• Prepare financial projections using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies and negotiate terms.
• Collaborate with leaders to understand impacts of custom requests.
• Manage and interpret operational data for fee development and analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and partners.
• Demonstrate understanding of Meritain products and services.
• Develop and participate in presentations to customers and partners.
• Determine product mix with Sales to reduce total cost of care.
• Assist sales and client management in explaining rates and underwriting policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with sales, clients, and internal partners.
