Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting professional for Meritain Health to support pricing and stop‑loss strategy. This fully remote role handles prospect and existing business quotations, financial projections, and fee development, working with Sales, Client Management and internal partners.

You will prepare quotations, analyze data in Excel and Salesforce, present to customers, and help shape the product mix to reduce the total cost of care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in medical insurance (brokers, carriers, TPA, underwriting or policy marketing).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on pricing and stop loss strategies to Sales and Client Management teams.
• Prepare and issue quotations and financial deliverables for prospective and existing business within deadlines.
• Create financial projections for prospects using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies, negotiate terms based on claims data and cost-reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership to understand impacts for custom requests.
• Manage and interpret operational data for fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and business partners.
• Demonstrate understanding of Meritain products and services.
• Develop presentations for customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Determine product mix with Sales to reduce total cost of care for sponsors.
• Assist sales staff in explaining rates/fees and underwriting policies.
