Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting professional for Meritain Health, a national benefits administrator. This fully remote role focuses on underwriting, pricing stop loss, and plan consultation for a diversified book of business, including Mid-Market and captive/alternate channels.

You will collaborate with Sales and Client Management, prepare quotations, and build financial projections in Excel and Salesforce, delivering insights to clients and partners.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of applicable medical insurance experience: brokers, carriers, TPAs, underwriting, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepares and issues quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business while meeting TAT goals.
• Prepares financial projections on prospects utilizing Excel and Salesforce.
• Marketing and placement of stop loss policies, negotiating terms based on claims data, strategy and cost avoidance.
• Collaborates with leadership to understand impacts for custom requests.
• Manages and interprets operational data and applies to fee development and financial analysis.
• Presents to internal/external customers and partners.
• Displays understanding of Meritain products and services with strong business and systems knowledge.
• Develops and participates in presentations to customers, partners and internal areas.
• Determines product mix with Sales to issue proposals reducing total cost of care.
