Job summary

Qualifications

• Req High School or equivalent
• Pref Associate’s Degree In a related field
• 1–3 years hospital payroll background or proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role
• Knowledge/comfortable with Excel, processing timesheets, payroll adjustments, and strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and outstanding analytical and numerical skills
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) - required within 30 days of hire if in LA City

Responsibilities

• Process hospital biweekly Kronos timesheets in accordance with Wage and Hours and company policies.
• Process all prior pay period adjustments including overpayments.
• Enter all off-cycle checks in Kronos historical.
• Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g. bonuses, LOA supplemental pay, merit retro payments).
• Communicate with hospital staff regarding payroll processing and union contracts.
• Answer employees, managers, directors questions about salaries and payments.
• Prepare Excel spreadsheets for HR on all off cycle checks.
