Capital Health is seeking an experienced Hospital Outpatient Coder 2 to accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters. Role includes querying providers for documentation, ensuring complete and compliant coding, and collaborating with CDI and billing teams to optimize reimbursement.

The position supports remote work with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to coding guidelines. Eligible for comprehensive health benefits and retirement plans.

Competenze

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: CPC or COC preferred.

Mansioni

• Codes outpatient services including ERs, outpatient in a bed, same day medicals and same day surgical records.
• Queries physicians or staff to ensure proper documentation for coding.
• Collaborates with CDI, billing, and revenue integrity teams to improve documentation and reimbursement.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of outpatient coding changes and credentials.
