Capital Health is seeking a Hospital Outpatient Coder 2 to accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT/HCPCS procedures, and modifiers for outpatient encounters. You will query physicians or staff to ensure proper documentation, supporting accurate reimbursement and reporting.

The role requires knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, encoder and EMR, with 40-hour weeks and remote consideration for eligible states.

Competenze

• Certified Physician coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) preferred.

Mansioni

• Codes medical record documentation for outpatient services including but not limited to Emergency Room (ERs), Outpatient in a bed, Same day medicals (SMs) and Same day surgical (SDSs).
• Meets or exceeds established quality and productivity benchmarks.
• Assists in management of the DNFB to ensure minimal number of uncoded days
• Collaborates with CDI, billing, and revenue integrity teams to improve documentation, and optimize reimbursement.
