Job summary

Providence Seward is seeking a Health Information Management Records Analyst for a fully remote, full-time position. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, day shift, Monday through Friday, aligned to Alaska time.

Under HIM management, you will analyze medical records, verify documentation, assign deficiencies to providers, and follow up to ensure completion in the system. Preferred qualifications include 3 years HIM/Medical Record experience in acute care, an Associate’s in Health Information Technology

Qualifications

• 3 years HIM/Medical Record experience in an acute care setting.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology or Bachelor's in Health Information Management preferred.
• RHIA or RHIT certification upon hire (American Health Information Management Association).

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medical record analysis for completeness.
• Assign provider deficiencies to the documentation system of record.
• Perform follow-up on deficiencies to verify completion by the provider.
• Conduct monthly clinical pertinence reviews using established criteria and document results.
