Job summary

Providence Seward is seeking a Health Information Management Records Analyst for a fully remote, full-time role. The position follows a day shift (8am-4:30pm Alaska time), Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.

Under HIM management, you will analyze medical records, assign deficiencies to providers, monitor queues, and perform monthly clinical pertinence reviews in the designated software. Remote work is available in Alaska and select states.

Qualifications

• 3 years HIM/Medical Record experience in an acute care setting.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Verify and assign deficiencies for incomplete medical records.
• Review patient records work queues for completion and follow up with providers.
• Electronically assign deficiencies to providers in the documentation system of record.
• Perform monthly clinical pertinence reviews and document findings in the designated software.

Education

Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology

Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management

RHIA or RHIT certification
