Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects, including substations and transmission lines.

The role is fully remote with discussions on location during interviews. You will oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, procurement strategy, risk assessment, and client coordination from concept through construction handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• 3+ years of experience leading preconstruction activities preferred.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Familiarity with high-voltage substations, transmission and distribution systems, utility interconnection requirements, electrical codes and industry standards, EPC and design-build delivery methods.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts for high-voltage electrical projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV+ systems.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies that align with client objectives and company goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from project inception through construction turnover.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze engineering designs, specifications, and bid documents.
• Review labor productivity, equipment requirements, and material pricing.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain estimating databases and market pricing trends.
• Serve as the primary preconstruction point of contact for clients, utilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in project pursuit and proposal presentations.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings and stakeholder alignment sessions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
