The High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager will lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical projects, including planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, constructability reviews, procurement strategy, risk assessment, and client coordination from concept through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 7+ years in electrical construction, HV projects, estimating, or PM.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M.
• Familiarity with HV substations, transmission/ distribution, EPC and design-build approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts for HV projects 12kV through 500kV+ systems.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception through turnover.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze designs, specs, and bid documents; review labor and material pricing.
• Serve as primary preconstruction contact for clients, utilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead risk assessment, constructability reviews, and contingency planning.
• Develop detailed project schedules; monitor critical path and milestones.
• Support procurement strategy; evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals and bids.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment and smooth handoff to construction.
