Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform complex reconciliation analyses and enrollment billing tasks remotely within US time zones. The role supports members, brokers, and internal teams while upholding compliance with health insurance policies.

You will work with Excel/Access tools, resolve intricate account discrepancies, and educate customers on enrollment processes and contract interpretation. Prior experience in accounting and insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree (Required).
• One year of reconciliation experience in Membership Analyst I or similar role (Required).
• Health or insurance industry experience (Preferred).
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies; process refunds and enrollment changes.
• Validate accounts receivable by detailed reconciliation of premiums and membership.
• Use Access or Excel to update eligibility, enrollment and reconciliation of accounts.
• Meet department metrics for production and quality.
• Educate members and brokers on enrollment processes and contract interpretation.
• Respond to clients/state agencies to resolve electronic feeds and issues.
• Ensure timely generation of Identification Cards and accurate maintenance of records.
