Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform moderately complex reconciliation analysis and enrollment/billing tasks across Individual or Group accounts. You will use Access and Excel to support accurate eligibility and enrollment updates, while meeting department metrics.

The role requires hands-on reconciliation experience in healthcare finance, strong communication with internal/external partners, and a hybrid on-site schedule in designated time zones.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree in accounting/finance.
• One year prior experience as Membership Analyst I or in a Premera position with reconciliation experience.
• Health or insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient fund issues.
• Maintain accurate notes and update enrollment and eligibility changes as needed.
• Educate members, brokers, or groups on membership and billing processes.
