Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Health Insurance Customer Service Specialist to provide inbound support for health plan members. You will handle complex inquiries, resolve issues end-to-end, and document each interaction across multiple systems.

The role requires excellent communication and comfort with remote work. The position is contract-based, fully remote, with a 4-month term and a potential extension.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
• 2+ years of call center experience
• Customer Service experience in a Health Insurance related setting (highly preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, using multi-screen workstations, and using multiple applications simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide inbound telephonic customer service to health plan members during peak Open Enrollment; handle ~50–70 calls daily
• Answer complex questions related to benefits, billing, enrollment with accuracy and professionalism
• Own each interaction from start to finish; resolve issues end-to-end and ensure concerns are addressed
• Document all member interactions thoroughly in the appropriate systems
• Collaborate with team members and participate in remote meetings and trainings
• Use company equipment (headset, dual monitors) and multiple applications to research and resolve issues
• Follow up on issues and communicate outcomes clearly to members
