Job summary

Kanpla seeks a Hardware Operations Lead to own the hardware supply chain from contract to live site, coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Delivery to ensure launches go live on time. The role builds a reliable demand and inventory view across multiple regions and vendors.

You will drive device qualification, cost control, and risk mitigation while expanding the installer network and standardizing processes for scale.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in hardware operations, supply chain, procurement, or technical logistics.
• Hands-on experience with POS, payments, kiosk, self-service, digital signage, or related customer-site hardware.
• Experience negotiating with vendors or distributors and evaluating price, terms, service quality, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Run the hardware order pipeline end to end, ensuring right configured equipment reaches each site for launch.
• Set and maintain Kanpla's recommended hardware range with Product and Engineering, qualifying devices by customer needs, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Manage procurement and vendor relationships, including POs, lead times, terms, service levels, pricing, and margins.
• Forecast demand from the delivery pipeline and maintain inventory position, balancing launch readiness with working capital.
• Identify supply risks early, including single-source dependencies, allocations, and end-of-life devices, and qualify alternatives.
• Coordinate international freight, customs, Incoterms, and shipping docs across UK & Ireland, Nordics, DACH, Benelux, and US.
• Build and manage installer/field engineer network, coordinating timing, rates, briefings, and quality with Delivery team.
• Run RMA, warranty, repair, catalog, pricing, and order-record processes, and create reporting as volumes grow.
