Job summary

RemoteLeads is seeking a hardware program manager to coordinate design deliverables, schedules, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and external partners. You will drive mass production readiness and manage supplier timelines to align with system requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware or technical program management, with strong communication skills and experience in wearable or consumer electronics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering or technical program management within consumer electronics.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, and external partners.
• Proven ability to deliver complex hardware development programs on schedule.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of product development lifecycles and hardware design and fabrication processes.
• Experience with global suppliers and vendor management preferred.
• Experience supporting wearable technology or similar hardware products preferred.
• Prior transition from engineering into program management preferred.
• Direct W2 employment required; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering design deliverables, including specifications, design of experiments, and validation plans.
• Manage hardware component delivery timelines for development builds and drive qualification toward mass production.
• Develop and maintain program schedules aligned with system requirements, technical risks, and business priorities.
• Oversee program structures and workflows across engineering teams and leadership.
• Communicate program status, risks, mitigation plans, vendor tooling timelines, and design sprint progress.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute program milestones.
• Maintain accurate program documentation for stakeholder visibility and decision-making.
• Participate in internal practice meetings, thought leadership, case studies, networking, and Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Partner with leadership on career development opportunities.
