Job summary

Base is seeking a Deployment Operations Specialist to manage the rollout of our newest hardware from pilot to full-scale deployment. You’ll own the rollout plan, coordinate across engineering, field crews, training, and warehousing, and keep all stakeholders aligned as issues are routed and resolved.

You’ll write playbooks, track readiness, and provide weekly updates to leadership on progress, risks, and blockers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in technical program management, project coordination, or operations.
• Comfort with technical detail; follow engineering conversations and write defects accurately.
• Strong documentation habits: schedules, issue logs, and playbooks.
• Clear written communication; status updates and escalations for leadership.
• Organized under pressure; track dozens of open items as priorities shift.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Grafana, or Retool.

Responsibilities

• Own the cross-functional rollout plan for new hardware products, tracking from early pilot to broad public launch and flagging risks/blockers.
• Drive product readiness across Deployments: field operations, training, logistics, warehousing; chase down open items.
• Coordinate pilot builds and installs—scheduling, materials, crew assignments, permitting; evolve processes for deployment at scale.
• Run intake for field issues on new and in-pilot hardware; route issues to correct engineering owner and track to resolution.
• Write and maintain playbooks, field-facing instructions, and issue logs to capture lessons for future pilots.
• Author weekly program updates for engineering and leadership: what's fixed, what's open, what's at risk, and overall progress.
