Reach Out and Read Northwest is seeking a Development Specialist to advance grant proposals and reports. You will work with the Associate Director of Development and programmed teams to draft compelling narratives, manage timelines, and ensure accurate donor records.

The role is fully remote and based in Washington, with travel as needed. You will grow in grant cycle responsibilities, build funder relationships, and expand your portfolio over time while maintaining Salesforce data and a strong

Qualificações

• Commitment to equity in opportunities and outcomes for children and families.
• Approximately two to three years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or related role with writing.
• Strong project management: deadlines, calendar and detail orientation.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading with clear narratives.
• Collaborative across teams and transparent communication.
• Comfort with data and accurate records in donor systems.
• Self-motivated, able to work remotely while staying connected.
• Experience supporting grant proposals, reports, compliance, or donor stewardship (preferred).
• Experience with Salesforce and running reports (preferred).
• Familiar with Asana and Canva (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Grant Writing and Reporting: draft foundation/corporate proposals and reports.
• Coordinate reporting: gather information, prepare drafts, ensure on-time submissions.
• Maintain templates, boilerplate language, and Canva materials.
• Support prospect research and funder qualification as requested.
• Grant Project Management: manage calendars, timelines, and approvals in Asana.
• Prepare materials for meetings and ensure content accuracy.
• Donor Stewardship: acknowledgment and follow-up communications with funders.
