Lenze Americas Corporation is seeking a General Motion Control Sales Engineer focused on new business acquisitions in a remote role serving the Chicago and Kansas City regions.

The Market Development Sales Engineer - GMC will drive new OEM opportunities, manage a strong pipeline, and partner with field and product teams to deliver drive-based automation solutions. Travel up to 40% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 5+ years in technical sales, sales engineering, application engineering, or business development in industrial automation or related industries.
• Solid knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, motion control, motors, and drive-based automation.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-potential OEM opportunities in GMC; focus on AC inverter (VFD) and drive-based solutions.
• Qualify leads, secure initial meetings, and lead discovery conversations.
• Support customer presentations and product demonstrations with internal teams.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline; progress opportunities to close.
• Maintain CRM records of activity, pipeline, and next steps.
• Collaborate with channel managers and distributors to expand market reach.
