Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. is seeking a Global Project & Strategic Account Sales Manager - Remote to lead major project pursuits with EPCs, owners, and strategic accounts across North America for Emerson Actuation Technologies.

This role requires building and qualifying opportunities, influencing specifications, and coordinating a multi‑unit pursuit strategy. You will manage strategic accounts, drive bookings growth, and travel up to 50% domestically.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
• 10+ years in valve/actuation/automation or related industrial project sales.
• Experience pursuing capital projects through EPCs and strategic accounts.
• Travel domestically up to 50%.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain formal project sales pipeline in Oracle CRM, including status, stakeholders, timing, competitive position, quotation strategy, and bookings.
• Engage EPCs, owners, consultants, strategic accounts, and channel partners early to influence specifications and position Emerson solutions.
• Lead project pursuit strategy: technical scope, pricing, risk, channel strategy, and win probability.
• Leverage Emerson units and leadership to deliver a coordinated pursuit strategy.
• Build project intelligence through bidding and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
• Understand competitive landscape and develop differentiated quotation strategies to improve win rates.
• Develop consultative relationships with strategic accounts to identify opportunities and growth.
• Drive accountability for bookings, forecast accuracy, funnel conversion, and sales results.
