Job summary

UL Solutions in Austin, TX is seeking a senior strategist to develop and execute the U.S. and global AI business roadmap. You will lead introductions of AI testing, certification, advisory, and assurance services in partnership with technical teams.

You will build a strong pipeline by cultivating strategic accounts, customer use cases, and partnerships while engaging regulators like the FDA to align with evolving standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, strategy, product or service management, or market development within AI, technology, healthcare, medical devices, testing and certification, or a related field
• University Degree equivalent to Bachelors in Business Admin, Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years in Business Development or 8+ years in Marketing/Sales with account management experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and commercialize technical or professional services
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to translate technical/regulatory developments into customer value propositions
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, acquire and manage high value customer accounts
• Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and executive-presentation skills across a global organization

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the U.S. and Global AI business strategy, identifying priority markets, applications, customers, and growth opportunities
• Lead the introduction of new AI testing, assessment, certification, advisory, and assurance services with cross-functional teams
• Build a robust business pipeline by developing strategic accounts, customer use cases, partnerships, and go-to-market plans
• Engage regulators (FDA) to understand expectations and position UL Solutions as a trusted technical partner
• Build relationships with industry associations, standards bodies, tech companies, manufacturers, healthcare and medical-device orgs
• Collaborate across commercial, engineering, regulatory, marketing, and industry teams to translate customer needs into scalable offerings
• Monitor AI tech, regulatory developments, and convert market intelligence into investment and business recommendations
• Represent UL Solutions in customer discussions and industry forums on AI safety, performance, cybersecurity, and compliant deployment
