Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking an experienced field service professional to manage on-site GIS installation, testing, and commissioning across the United States. You will act as the on-site Hitachi Energy representative, coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and project teams during construction, testing, and commissioning of high voltage equipment.

The role requires coordinating safety, quality, and schedule in live environments, with extensive travel and hands-on supervision of field

Qualifications

Work authorization to work in the United States.
10+ years of experience in field service or construction management.
Technical certificate or associate degree in electrical or mechanical field.
Experience supervising erection and testing activities for HV substations and equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures for working in energized, high voltage substations.
Valid driver's license and OSHA 10 training (or ability to acquire).
Ability to travel 80-90% to project sites.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, and coordinate GIS field execution on-site in live operating environments.
Plan, execute, and manage on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of HV GIS equipment (69kV–550kV).
Serve as Hitachi Energy’s on-site representative to customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and local stakeholders.
Oversee adherence to drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate field documentation, reports, and project records.
