Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks an experienced field service leader to manage on-site GIS installation, testing, and commissioning across US sites. You will coordinate field activities for 69kV–550kV equipment, supervise teams, and ensure safety and quality on live projects.

You will travel 80–90% to project sites, acting as the on-site Hitachi Energy representative and coordinating with customers and subcontractors to deliver reliable substation infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in field service or construction management with HV equipment.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in electrical or mechanical field.
• Experience supervising erection and testing in HV substations.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for energized HV substations.
• Valid driver’s license and OSHA 10 (or ability to obtain).
• Willingness to travel 80–90% to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate GIS field execution at live sites.
• Serve as Hitachi Energy’s on-site representative to customers and subcontractors.
• Supervise field teams to meet quality, safety, and schedule goals.
• Perform field testing including SF6 leak detection and gas analysis.
• Prepare clear field documentation and project records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
